These tubes bend & break all of the time mainly due to the pressure of rain water. This is video demonstrates how you can avoid having this done to you.
If you don't feel comfortable installing the mx57 yourself you can take it to just about any experienced rv repair company and have them install it for you.
If you have a broken rv awning then you defintly should not replace your awning tube without first installing the mx57 to protect your investment.

RV Awnings are notorious for having problematic issues with the weight load of rain water resulting in damage to the front cylinder to which the canopy is attached.
The standard factory shipped cylinders are not designed to withstand more than a couple of hundred pounds.
When deployed, the awning must remain taut in order to properly displace rain water. In order for this to happen, the awning is situated on a slight angle from the point of attachment (to the building or vehicle). However one gallon of water weighs approximately 8.35 lbs. It doesn't take long to accumulate several hundred pounds of water and therein lies the problem. The roller tube (the cylinder to which the canopy is attached) begins to bow slightly and the canopy creates a bowl of water that becomes trapped between the roller tube and the vehicle (or building). Once this happens the weight (if the rain continues) will increase as additional water is trapped and eventually the tube will break.
To avoid the above scenario we strongly recommend you have the MX57 installed. We have video that will soon be added to our website showing it's amazing strength. We have torqued the tube with strong chains and come alongs to over 1000lbs and the tube still did not bow, bend or break. When you add the MegaX57 to your awning the awing canopy will remain taut and the rain water will naturally and safely run off the awing as it was intended. No more having to bend one side of your awing and no more worrying about being away from your RV in the event of a rain storm.
